Bird #2 down! Took him at 4:58 yesterday evening. He was with another gobbler and they hung up in a pasture, and I finally took him at 62 steps!! That was opening day here, heard 2 this morning, one off the Property and the other got up with hens! Got till wednesday morning to try to get another! Pics coming soon! Good luck to everyone hunting!!

Youth season was a success. I shot this 25 lb bird in the exact spot I killed my bird last year. He had a 10" beard and 1 1/8" spurs. The gobblers stayed behind the blind gobbling and drumming from 10:45-1:00 and went silent. Had the hens in front of the blind 3 times, 1 bearded hen that I am wanting to shoot. I've let her walk the last 2 years waiting on the gobbler. The hens finally left the gobblers and they came into the field, gobbled 2 times, strutted, and walked in on a string to 18 yards.

Awesome Bird! Great Job getting it in the sack and on the table. I love to see the young ones bust the big birds, the best smile you will ever see follows the whole hunt.
