Default 6 Birds

Well yesterday was opener here in GA. and we had nothing but storms on and off all day in my area.

Today was better, temperature down in the low 50s', had 6 different birds talking and six birds still walking. Worked one bird from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., he was close but with hens and they took him past me. The other 5 was just to far and the wind got up pretty bad and I couldn't hear them after 9. Oh Well, got 2 months.

POSTED FOR DOG1 -

Our season opened this past Sat. 24 Mar. got my 1st bird this morning at 9:05 a.m came in silent and following a hen.

Here are his stats: 19.5 lbs, RS-3/4 inches, LS-7/8 inches, Main beard-11 and 1/2 inches, 2nd beard-4.0 inches, 3rd beard-2.5 inches.

JW! has the pics and normally post them for me, if he will again be so kind. I didn't notice the 2 smaller beards when taking the pics, only when I moved him to my cleaning bench did I see them, they are thin, but there, first time for me.

Your score is 19.5 + 7.5 + 8.75 + 36 = 71.75
pics to follow ~ JW

Way to go Dog1! On the board again! I was hoping to go in GA this weekend while there for my brother-in-law's wedding, but it doesn't look like it's gonna happen. Friday morning would be the only time I'd get to go and I can't justify buying out-of-state licenses for one hunt. Cheap, I know. But, got a daughter on the way and gotta save what I can.

On another note, I patterned one last time today and got 205 hits in a 9" circle...phenomenal pattern. I'll be out in the TN woods Monday morning, good Lord willing!
