Sounds sweet Snapper!
I just got a bit of unsettling news tonite. I have a spot about 2 hrs drive from here which in the past couple yrs has been my no.1 spot. A huge hay feild, 1 mile by about 600 yrds. It's had good numbers on it and i was mainly relying on it to get my bird this yr. Bro in law was by it yesterday and said it looked like they didn't do anything with it last yr, waste high grass. I'm afraid that could kill it! It's full of rolling little hills and from the road he looked at it from you can't see much of it so i'm hoping that the whole thing isn't uncut. Guess i'll have to make the drive befor too much longer and check it over good. If that spot isn't any good it could really hurt my chances this yr. Was gonna wait a bit to really start scoutin hard but guess i better get moving in case i gotta start tryin to hunt up some new spots.

My season opens April 14th in Nebraska...plan to use my bow, but will pack the shotgun just in case. My season in Iowa opens around then also...but runs until the middle of May, so I'm not too worried.

My opener is April 23 and only lasts 2 weeks. Hope its not a looooong 2 weeks! The wife is on spring break all next week so that should give me some good time to do some major scouting. I haven't had to eat tag soup in 8 yrs and don't plan on doing it this yr. Just hope with the weather like it is work doesn't pick up too fast and have to go back befor season. I may need all of those 2 weeks!

Things are cranking along in MO. I got woke up yesterday morning by the turkeys gobbling. We open April 16th and that seems like an eternity. Leave Friday morning for Texas, sure hope DTC Jr shoots better on this trip. Youth season in MO is March 31st so he has a couple of weekends of it. Looking forward to another weekend road trip with my boy.
