Yeah Snapper, definately get checked in as captain! Looks like we're all happy with the name and pic??? The plan is to use it where the signature goes instead of an avatar right?

Looks like we still have one no show, think everyone is supposed to be checked in by the 10th. Have you tried sending a p.m to him Snapper?

Snow is fadin fast here and starting to see some open ground again! Hopin for an early spring. We had to hunt in the snow part of the season last yr, that sucked!! Here's a pic of the feild i hunted opening day last yr the day befor season started

I'd take sweat and mosquitos over that crap any day!!!!

DTC is heading to Florida, but I think that is for Jr. On April 13th I head to Nebraska, so I still have over a month to go. Next week we are supposed to hit 70 in Iowa, which will really give us the itch to get out there.

76 message was sent to houndsman for him to check in.
snow sucks during turkey season but man so did last years rain we had here. i think there was only like 4 days of no rain where i hunt last year it sucked. i still managed to whack 2 birds(limit) almost didnt get the first. it started raining befor i got set up on him but i managed to fire him up he was double and triple gobbling. came across a creek and everything. got to 30 yds and my scope was a little fogged and lots of water on the lens. i wiped it with my thumb but couldnt really see out of it. but i cud make out a dark object and it moved so i slide the crosshairs up the skinny dark line(turkey neck) and squeezed it off. whewwww barely he was fixin to leave..lol

Well DTC Jr didn't help his team out this weekend. We had a great trip together, saw several birds, but the gobbles were few and far in between. I finally called a bird in for him yesterday morning and he MISSED! I don't think I have ever seen that kid cry so hard. I felt terrible for him but I told him it's part of it. So needless to say we will go back next spring and try it again. Hopefully he can change his luck in Texas the 24th.
