Makes sense Zubba, I hope thats whats going on here. In a normal season I would just now start seeing birds, maybe everything till this point is just them being overactive and searching for food and they may be just about ready to start settling into the places where i've always seen them consistantly. It has seemed odd to me that of all the birds i've been seeing, their are a couple places on my drives to look where no matter what i ALWAYS see birds and so far nothing. Maybe its just because their not there yet cause its too early. Hope thats the case cause i am ready to flatten one!!!!

it doesnt matter if they have completed breeding. you just got to be a versitile turkey killing machine. might have to bush wack em or stalk em or even sit and wait em out. or one of the best is dont use hen talk but rather use gobbler yelps. there are so many ways to fill your tag. to many people get hung up on just one way of hunting.

You must have good zoom on that camera 870...because they look just about in range of my mossberg ever since I switched to an indian creek choke and started shooting hevi-13's.

Oh, I see. Makes sense...that's a whole different ballgame. I'm taking the bow to nebraska, hope the birds cooperate.

Well this morn i finally seen turkeys in the same spot twice!! Only bummer kinda was that this time i got a good look at the 2 toms and i'm sure my big old bird isn't one of them. Looks like a couple 2 yr olds, but man were they fired up this morn! Gobbled from one end of the farm to the other, almost constant gobbling for over an hour straight.Another good sign was there were 3 or 4 hens with them and they were tryin hard but they wanted nothing to do with them at all, they wouldn't even let the toms get close to them which makes me think its still plenty early still. Got a half arse pic of them with the cam, i could clearly see a beard on the one, never did see one on the other but got a good look at his fan and was definately a full fan.

Don't get me wrong Snapper, I ain't complainin! I'd gladly knock one of em down! Went back out there a couple hours later and put a trail cam up and could STILL here em gobblin! Was about 11 o'clock. Think i heard more gobblin out of them 2 birds today than i heard all of last yr!
