Great bird. I'll score and submit him. Just try to get the picture up on this thread. Congrats on a great bird. I'll let you know in a few minutes what he scores.

One of my longbeards narrowly escaped death this morning. I got out this morning and heard no gobbles. There was someone hunting on the adjoining property in a ground blind. He was on the powerline a couple hundred of yards past my boundary line. At about 9:30 I could see the birds were nowhere around me, so I walked back to the powerline. I looked down the line just in time to see the hunter shoot at and miss a turkey. I saw the turkey fly off. Looks like I still have two longbeards in the area, but with this guy hunting and shooting at them, they are becoming more and more educated. Hopefully when I get back from Texas the birds will still be alive and on my property.

Super what is up with these birds not wanting to gobble. I went Sunday to the same place I heard 7 at and heard nothing. Tracks everywhere strut marks dust bowls but no birds.

It's called turkey hunting. Just when you think you have them figured out, they throw you a curve ball.

Congrats to SS and QnR!! Great start out of the blocks. I'm hearing birds in the woods behind my house.
