Guys, I got my opening day gobbler. Killed him at 12:30. No gobbles at all this morning. This bird came in silent. I took a lunch break at 10:30 and got back out there at 11:30. He weighed 19 lbs. 10 oz., had a 10 inch beard, and spurs were 1 inch and just under an inch. He officially scored 58.375. Great way to start the season.

Way to go superstrutter looks as if we are up and running as a team. Checked new ground today and found lots of sign going back in the morning if not rain to listen for birds.

Awesome superstrutter! can always count on you to knock down a bird or two! I know there are birds behind my house waiting for me come season as they are going nuts every morning and night but i am going to stop by a few other places ive been known to kill some this week and next week to scout things out. still a little over a month left till the season starts so this will just make me more impatient and reared up ready to go but oh well!

Went back out this morning and one of the other two longbeards was gobbling, but he was on another property. I watched a guy from a distance set up in a blind on the powerline try his best to coax the gobbler within gun range, but the gobbler had other things on his mind. The bird eventually came my way, but never made it to my property. He came close enough just to tease me I think. I just left him alone. I'll try again in morning. Heading to Texas Tuesday to chase Rios. Hopefully I can bring a couple home with me. Good luck to everyone hunting. You guys who can't start for a few weeks, hang in there, it will be here before you know it.

Congrats Q&R! I upload my pics to a photobucket account and paste the image code into the message to post pics. If you want to go that route and have any trouble, let me know and I'll try to help you out.

Just post your measurements here and I will put them on the scoring thread. The way I post pics is I put the picture on desktop. I then go to paint and adjust the size of the picture to make sure it fits. Go to the team thread and after you type what you want, go down to attachments. Hit it and then go to browse. Hit desktop and then scroll down and enter the picture you want. After you have entered the picture, hit submit. That's it. Go ahead and give me your measurementa first and then we'll work on getting the picture up. Congrats on your bird. Looks like we are on our way to defending our title.
