Official Team 15 thread bow contest

I let several doe pass this weekend while hunting in South Dakota. I wish the Black Hills District wasn't a one deer zone. Otherwise, a doe would have come home with me. I also finished the job another archer started. The bonehead took a frontal shot from 25 yards and arrowed a nice nine point through the neck (the arrow was dead center through the white neck/chin patch). It came by me and I could see the arrow protruding. The deer was hardly effected...certainly would not have died for several weeks. From 22 yards, I ended a very bad case of public relations. The young hunter thanked me and I let him take the deer (it was his first attempt at bow hunting). We had a discussion on shot placement before he departed....
I won't be in the deer woods until mid-November, unless I can sneak out for a day trip.
Good hunting everyone!

I should get plenty of opportunity to hunt, but I won't have any time to be a captain as I am a Wildlife Biologist @ a WMA and this is our busiest time of the year. Sorry I did not check in sooner, but I have been very busy the past week putting together our departments Wildlife Expo. Now that it is over I have a little breather to catch up. Look forward to great hunts with Team 15.

Well boys I have a doe down @ 7:25 tonight. Slight quartering away, complete pass through, arrow looks like liver/lung shot. Did not here her fall so I am going to let her lay overnight and find her in the morning.
