It has been slow the last week. I have seen plenty of does but I have held out. The does were not that big. If I do shot a doe I want it to be a larger doe.
The bucks are showing some sign of the pre rut. Need a good cold snap and I believe they will be up on their feet.

Good luck everyone, the good hunting is just around the corner!

It's been a pretty good first 2 weeks for me. I took another doe last week and seen some descent 2.5 yr old bucks in range but gotta let them walk so they can grow to their full potential. Last Saturday morning I had 2 bucks come within 10 yds right at legal shooting time. It was still dark enough that I could not get an accurate judgement on them so I let them walk. And then Sunday afternoon I jumped a 140+" buck walking in to my stand. He was 30 yds from my stand.

I've been out 14 times already so far so I've been hunting pretty hard, Hopfully it pays off soon. Good luck to everyone

Nice job on the does everyone, I hope to knock one down after i get over my cold. I've been out a few times, saw one shooter opening morning and not much else since. Think the mods will give us some bonus points for the bear I got on Oct 3rd? Ah probaly they wont, but it sure does taste good!! Bear was 2-3 yrs old an weighed 200lbs! Good luck to everyone out there!

Good luck everyone, I am done hunting until this hurricane passes. Local game commission has said the man areas may not be passable for several weeks after the storm passes due to down trees. This may put an end to my archery season.

Thanks pj, luckily no major damage. I was actually out this morning. Seen some deer but nothing worth my tags.
Good luck
