Checking in from Va. Have been slinging arrows at least 3 days a week. Hoping to make the recurve do some talking here in a few weeks! Have been seeing a lot of sign but who knows???

Checking in from Illinois.

I hunt public land, which totally sucks in Illinois. However, got sick of grossly overhunted state land so cashed in my Iowa points for a zone 5 tag. Scouted in February and have numerous slammer spots ID'd. Have plenty of vacation days, so should down a pig if I'm patient.

Did well in the Huntingnet turkey contest with #1 & #9. Hope to equal that for deer. Can only hope.

Got a New Hampshire moose hunt that will distract me middle 2 weeks of October, but will be back well before prime rut.

We are all checked in and hopefully all ready to go when your season kicks in.

We need a Team Captain and a team name.

For team name may I suggest:

Death From Above
Silent But Deadly
Arnie's Army (My given name is Arnie)
Broad Heads (I am bald too)

We need a team captain. Volunteers? Will do if needed.

The captain will need to share the team's vote on awarding points for does.

Your thoughts?

I support 50 points for a doe if you do not get a buck. One deer per person to score only.

Kill a doe for 50 points and upgrade score with a buck later is also OK by me.

If you're offering to be captain, you've got my vote! As for the name, I dont really care either. The hardest part of deer season is tryin to figure out how to change my avatar to the one our team uses. Its a tough life. As for the doe rule, I'd give only like 20 points per person for a doe, plus you get to enter your first buck. But I'm ok with whatever you guys want. The last two years I've been a ZERO. Trying to get over an EHD kill in S. IL a couple of years back has made me pretty picky.

Guys I am fine with any name and anyone as captain. LLbux you can be captain, no need to wait days for everyone to chime in. Doe points I like 50 points. Thats what they have been in just about every contest I have been in.
