No luck this weekend in Ohio. Friday evening thru Sunday morning only seen 4 deer.
My father and brother-inlaw didn't even see a deer. This was our first time hunting in Harrison County. We found out that there are even more hunters on this property.
Not to sure we will hunt it again.
Will get out this week here at home.

Great to see ya back again. It looks like we're putting the old team back together.

Nothing down over the weekend. The only buck I've seen so far is a spike. I guess I'm going to fill the freezer with doe tags until the rut shows up and gets these bucks off their beds mid-day.

Greetings! Ok time to get caught up here a little bit. Congrats to everyone cashing in on the does. I went Monday. Very windy. Laid an egg and airmailed a clean 30 yd shot over the top of a sassy doe. Gotta love that one. User error on my part, I will try agian. The weekend hunt got messed up due to the Wi youth hunt going on. Gotta sport the blaze orange during that time even though no one was hunting by me. I utilized that Sunday to get a check on the camera over by the honey hole stand. Had some great pictures! I will post shortly after doing the download. Had to sort through over a 1000 pictures of all sorts of deer and skunks and turkeys ets. Quite a variety of wildlife over the September timeframe. The good news is I have 3 or 4 bucks that make regular appearances all year. The bad news is that I have not got a picture of the halo buck since August. Go figure, that kinda sucks. There are decent shooters still. Guard drill this weekend then back to the woods after the 14th. Like I said earlier, I usually dont start hitting the woods till mid October anyway so things will be on the up and up. Got the miss out of the system already too. Same thing happened last year. Clean miss on a nice 8pt at 30 yds but cashed in next time out. Hope that trend continues! Pleasure to be here chatting it up though and sharing the stories with you guys.
