Hey everyone my name is Matt this year I'll be doin my hunting in Michigan all year. Any one else see the team listings yet.

SlowDraw 08-30-2012 07:59 AM

Slowdraw checking in. My name is Harry and I will be hunting in Maryland primarily on the Delmarva Peninsula. Our season starts next week. Probably be too hot for me. The mosquitoes, ticks and chiggers actually are more of a deterrent then the heat.

Mibowhunter91 08-30-2012 08:06 AM

I hear you on the mosquitoes I hate those things with a passion. Most years I don't get to excited about early season but I think I have a 150 class patterned pretty good. If its the same Buck I should have him on camera when I check this weekend

Fieldmouse 08-31-2012 01:03 PM

Guys, I dropped 2 new members in on your team. Please take the time to PM them and welcome them to the contest.

Mibowhunter91 08-31-2012 01:23 PM

All, My name is Dave and I will be hunting the Eastern Panhandle of WV, specifically climbing a few stands in my backyard on a 3 acres I own between some corn fields.

I started hunting kinda late in life a few years ago (44) and hoping to get my first wall hanger this year. There are some decent deer that pass through my land often (got some game cam pictures posted in Trail Camera section), and hope to add maybe 125 points to the team.

Hunting with a Hoyt Maxxis 31.

Our season starts September 29.

Here are a few of the boys that might help me contribute some points:

Mibowhunter91 09-01-2012 09:14 AM

Mibowhunter91 09-01-2012 02:32 PM

CabinOutdoors 09-11-2012 05:53 PM

Mibowhunter91 09-11-2012 05:57 PM

Sweet any nice deer waiting for bow season to start? How about everyone else?

Fieldmouse 09-11-2012 07:49 PM

I received a question regarding the validity of team 14. Yes, you guys are a team. You will get more members shortly.

bigriver12 09-12-2012 07:25 PM

Hey also checking in, hunt west central Wisconsin all the way to Lake Superior. Mainly, Bayfield, Ashland and Iron counties. Primary bowhunting is in Chippewa County, 2200 acres of agriculture and heavy forest areas. Then do hunt public land in Northern area of our county. Good Luck.

Shot a dandy first night out last year, Sept. 26th. Might try our opener this weekend

Mibowhunter91 09-18-2012 08:12 AM

guys we need a team capitan unless someone else wants to do it i'll be willing to we also need a team name

SlowDraw 09-18-2012 05:26 PM

I am fine with you being captain Matt. I haven’t been checking on here much, since I have been busy with work, family and the start of football season (fantasy football and football pools have me using up my computer time). Our season is already in but with the weather we been having and the aforementioned schedule juggling, I have not been out yet. I did not have a buck patterned or anything, so I wasn’t in a rush. I may try to get out next week. Not sure about a name, but we may want to wait until we have most of our team to decide. Any Idea when we may be getting more alternates? May be we should go with Better Late than Never, since half of our team will be people who missed the deadline to sign up (Ha Ha). Good luck to anyone who is out there hunting.

Mibowhunter91 09-19-2012 10:46 AM

I really like that name! I'm kind of disappointed I had a few good bucks patterned then they all disappeared. Well all except the two 2.5 year old that have to much potential to shoot they basically likve in my back yard so they got that goin

*twodogs* 09-21-2012 10:00 AM

My season starts October 1. Just returned from the horse farm I hunt and the owner tells me she is putting the farm up for sale next year. Lost hunting rights to a 600 acres dairy farm several years ago and now I'm losing the small horse farm.

Anyone know the answer to this question: I usually put a doe in the freezer first thing then hunt horns. Can you enter a doe and then withdraw the doe if you bag a buck since they are allowing does this year?

Mibowhunter91 09-21-2012 11:24 AM

Wow sorry to hear that.. but it does not.matter when u take the does she will be worth 25 points with or with out a buck!

sanders3469 09-21-2012 03:32 PM

Canuck_2 09-23-2012 07:53 PM

Canuck_2 checking in; glad to be with you all. I'm in western Canada - about half way across British Columbia right on the WA state border. I'll be shooting my 2003 Hoyt Razortec, which I like better than anything I've shot before or since.

Our season actually started Sept 1 and I've been out briefly on 3 mornings. A couple days ago I had a spike nice and close broadside but let him pass as we have only a 1-buck limit (with a few complicated exceptions). Haven't done much scouting this year but my favorite areas have the usual nice array of deer. Been too busy contending with the house, as we were clobbered in July by a freak wind storm that did a lot of damage. Have a new roof on now and the interior problems are finally being addressed.

Our season lasts until well into December and the rut is always my favorite time. Before that I'll be away a couple times, including a trip to an archery tournament in St. George Utah. But no worries - I'll have lots of time in the woods.

Canuck_2 09-23-2012 07:56 PM

Mibowhunter91, way to get us on the board. I hope that's the first of many does and bucks for everyone on the team.

Mibowhunter91 09-24-2012 06:31 AM

No problem we had an early doe season this past weekend and I got off work in time. I know come October I get a little hesitant on shooting a doe rite away this year I have a few stands I won't shoot a doe out of or even think of goin in with out a perfect wind and at least the last week of October. September 1 wow didn't realize ur season started so early
