Kreagerm, I know what you mean for my first buck I want a mature deer that will be score at least 130 not a really high bar for around here but I just have to but a lot of time in. Last year I had a few decent bucks in range so I'd always practice drawing and staying calm and settling my pins.. I never get really excited over the shooting of the animal more when I get to put it iin my hands. I'm sure I'll get buck fever eventually though

UPDATE: Does will count as 25 points. You may only enter one for score, it will also be an addition onto your buck score if you harvest a buck also..So hopefully this will help us get some more points on the board.

130 may be realistic in Iowa but take any mature deer that walks by you. I'm not gonna argue with your mentality as I can kinda relate-the only deer I will shoot is the 11 point I posted earlier(or anything bigger). Really would like to have a P&Y as my first bow buck.

How many buck tags do you get?

Those Iowa bucks are pretty awesome, a 130" around my way is a hell of a deer.

Glad to hear about the extra doe points, hopefully we can all add those easy points.

Fantastic reading about everyones sightings in the woods.

Just got a text from the girlfriend saying "When are we going hunting? I'm tired of waiting." I think I have another future deer hunter on my hands and if not I have some one to control the camera
18 more days until I'm in stand

Any one have new news?
