Just posting a note to let folks know sign ups begin Sunday the 15 th.

Thank you, Christine for getting the board posted.

Dang, the sign-ups haven't even begun and I'm predicting that Team Buck U will repeat again as champions this year. They have a great team and everyone on that team is AWESOME.
Good luck to everyone participating. It should be a lot of fun.
Thanks Fieldmouse for the time you put into last years contest and this one coming up.

Yes we will be hard to deal with once again!

Word on the street says you guys shoot like girls.

How can you guys be so positive? It's not even deer season and you can't control what walks with in range

BetterBirddogs 08-14-2012 05:06 AM

I'm so positive because I Hunt in se ks where we have monsters. Couple that with the fact that I have 7500+ acres to hunt and I am confident I'll see a biggun if I sit long enough!

Ok..new to the contest, not to the site, hoping to help out whatever team it is I get placed on with a west central WI bruiser. (I'm due for a big guy). So pardon my lack of knowledge about the contest, but if it's sign-up and random selection, how to people remain on same team year to year?

TX_Hoghunter 08-22-2012 10:47 AM

If your team wins you get to stay together the next year. Otherwise it is a random draw.

And I live in Iowa and have monsters walking around every where doesn't mean you always get a big one

BetterBirddogs 08-23-2012 08:14 AM

If you hunt hard enough and smart enough and do your homework you will kill a nice deer. Hell I went and scouted a cut corn field Sunday morning and watch 6 bucks together 3 of which were over 150. I don't even consider that place one of my go to spots either. If I thought realistically that I wasn't going to kill a nice deer year in and year out I'd do something else. I watch deer all year long. I feel good about my chances. You should to if you live in Iowa. I have had a 150 class deer within range every season for the past 6 or 7 seasons. I didn't kill all of those deer but I had opportunities. That's all a guy can ask for.
