Lefty Bolt-Action
Alright. I'm new to hunting and I think I have chosen my caliber, The 7mm.(If anyone has anything to say about the .308 vs 7mm debate raging on in my head, now would be great.) I will be hunting deer for now and Elk sometime in the future. I need A good gun for under 2,500. Please help me!!!

I have a Savage Weather Warrior 116LHSS in 30-06. It was nice to shoot an accurate rifle after shooting a few borrowed/used RH action rifles. The LH action is awesome.
For me it turned out to be a great value for the $$ spent.
As for caliber recommendations, I'd do a few searches in the gun forum. Ammo availability and cost are important.
I think the 7mm will give you a bit more power & options for shots up to and past the 4-500yd range (way, way past 500 with the right bullet), if that's what you need.
Good shot placement trumps a lot of ballistic bragging.

Little late to the thread but years ago I bought a left-hand Browning A-Bolt Stainless Stalker in .280 Rem. I am right handed but left eye dominant and had always wanted a .280 bolt action. Awesome deer rifle.
From the Browning website it appears as though that particular model is no longer available in .280 but they do still offer a couple models of the X-Bolt in .280 in a left-hand version.
