I went out this past weekend for the last day of rifle buck season in WV. Didn't get one. Maybe I'll have some luck during muzzleloader in a couple weeks.

Halfbaked and Canuck...did you guys get your bucks scored yet? Once we get those points added, we should be really close to the lead!

Anyone else still hunting?

lol must be the handlebars....i couldnt be more stoked..had the kids with me, and they both rather gone to sleep than take the huntin seat...so it showed them if they want it, the huntin seat is the place to be over the comfortable chair.
gman came through on a doe, and i know he is out tryin to get that boalt(buck of a lifetime gman).
im still at it with a bow, called a few in, but not close enough. the does like to hang with me, but if i flinch they bolt. i just borrowed this "cracker" from a buddy...kinda sounds like a really loud cricket, or nuts breakin...he says they will be skitish at 1st, but they will come right back, and to just keep doing it....we shall see...

Well, found out one reason we didn't see as many deer on the land this year (or wolves). One of the guys said there was a big cougar on our land during the whole week of gun season. We walk in at dark and the guy with the longest walk heard some super scary growling right near him. He couldn't get in his box blind quick enough! It was the cougar. And in the middle of Wisconsin of all places. Of course the DNR will claim it was a large raccoon or something and we stupid hunters can't distinguish the difference.

Haven't been out yet, late muzzy doesn't start here in Iowa for another week.
Thinking of getting a couple doe tags for the shotgun season that's on now.
Almost forgot...Welcome Gman and nice doe congrats

Don
