Howdy gman. Good luck to you.

And our rifle season opens this Saturday. New luxury blind. New rifle this year. Huge deer roaming our leased land. It's going to be a good year, I can feel it.

New blind pic. New .270 Win rifle pic. And pic of buck shot off my stand the year before I got on the lease. I've taken two 9 pointers off it and passed on a bunch like them the last few years. This year I'm going to take one again.

Disappointing season for me as the wind was wrong the whole week. Two guys got nice bucks opening day 100-150 yards from my blind and one said the big one came from my direction. If the wind is wrong there's nothing much you can do. I did have a couple "chances" but the deer coming in had the wind behind him and he didn't like that so turned and went the other way. Same thing as getting my scent but not my fault, LOL. Here are some pix of the hunt though and take a look at the 20" inside spread buck "Roger" got. The other buck is one similar to what I've taken here and was taken by Roger's son. Not many doe this year so I couldn't even contribute that. Sorry guys.

Back from my hunting trip. Had a good week, but didn't get a chance at a buck that I wanted to shoot. I did get a doe, so once I get the pic loaded I'll post it up. Still have time this season, hopefully I can get a buck too.

Nice deer halfbaked, congrats!

Warbird, you still gonna hunt more this season? Nice blind, wish I had one like that
