Good luck this weekend everyone. I have had a busy week unfortunately but plan on hitting it hard tomorrow morning and this weekend.....let's hope some of those big guys chase some does around on my property!
Nice score White-tail-deer.......that thing probably would have hit 160"s without the broken main! Way to start us off!

Were looking pretty good, team 6 has 338", team 2 has 254", and we are in third with 229 6/8". If we could get a buck that scores a little over 100" we will be in great shape! I still have another chance at a bigger deer as I will be hunting New Hampshire next week.

Well I am back from my hunting trip. I saw some big deer in Indiana the day before the season started. Then the 30mph winds kicked up and the deer bedded down. I did see sa few doe's but I didn't have a doe tag. Plus the full moon didn't help my cause what so ever. So my four days in Indiana were a bust.
For my southern IL hunt I was hoping for better results but The full moon a few days before turned them nocturnal and then the wind started in again! this time 20-30mph winds. so any deer that were out bedded down the majority of the time. the rut also hadn't started yet so maybe I might catch the tail end during the second season.
I have hunted the same spot in wayne county for 17 years and I have never heard so much silence in my area before. Hardly any gun shots so I think I wasn't the only one with a bad season.
Hopfully I can at least tag a doe during the second season to get us some points.
