Team #4 Thread

Busted another doe last Friday. I had company at the house so I was in a hurry to get home and didn't get a photo with the deer again. Its horns from here on out maybe I can get a good score to get us moving up in the ranks. But from the looks of our team thread activity I am not sure anyone will really care.

Sorry team, blew it this morning(10am).
Had a ~140" buck come in nose to the ground at 40yds, couldn't get him to stop.
Took a shot at the fast walker, missed , 2nd shot at 60yds was off as well.
It was pretty windy and he was hugging the inside edge of the thicket.
Had I seen him sooner it would have been an open shot on a solid rest as he cut the corner into the thicket.

Killed this guy at first light Saturday November 19. He had a 23 inch inside spread, 24 inch left main beam and 25 inch right main beam. I taped him out at 148 3/8 inches. My biggest 8-pointer to date. The man upstairs was looking out for me that morning. It really goes to show when you pass and pass and pass on younger deer, and all the hours you put in the stand, eventually it will pay off.

I am off work nest week and the rut is kicking off in South GA. I won't be able to hunt as much as I would like though. My MIL was supposed to come and watch my 8 month old daughter for me but she had to schedule a unexpected surgery for next Tuesday so its only evening hunts for me. Wish me luck it only take being in the right place for one minute to get the big one.
