Yesterday around 4:30pm I did a rattling sequence & had a basket rack 6pt come barreling in about 5 minutes later. He came in all puffed up with his chest out & ready to fight. He hung around for about 15 minutes & then lost interest. He's lucky to be living.
Also rattled again at 5:30pm & had a little 4pt chasing a doe & her yearling come to me. Never had a shot on the big doe & I let the buck walk. But both times I rattled I had deer come in within 5 minutes.

Pre-rut is definitely on in my area.

Hey guys! Congrats Vermont on the nice buck!!

I didn't get anything on my weekend hunt two weeks ago, did see a very nice 10pt but he was too far.

Headed out this evening in pursuit of a big one! Finally got a nice 14pt on camera.... hopefully I can locate him!

Good luck guys.

Well, I took my first buck of the year tonight.
His head gear aint much but he'll fill up some empty space in the deep freeze.
Ive got one more buck tag to fill so Im not entering this one here.
But I still wanted to show em off to all yall. ;D

Thats the second deer in a week & third of the season.
I took a doe last tuesday night in the same spot at the same time.
Both deer this week dropped in front of my stand. This one here I spine shot. He fell where he stood 10 yrs in front of me so I knocked a second arrow an pinned him to the ground with my G5 Montec & got a double lunger heart shot. He passed within 45 seconds.

Both tuesdays in a row its rained that night & wash any blood sign from that area.

Now Im ready for Ol Mossy Horns to show up to this spot.

On point, sorry to deliver the bad news man but you have to enter your first buck taken. See rule # 9 in the contest rules.
