I had a good opening day here in Bama, saw 6 doe in the morning, and 1 in the evening. One was close enough, but too much brush. I plan to try again soon!

I was all over a good buck this weekend, but could never get him in range. I might try again this weekend then take next weekend off. The following week I'll be heading to Illinois!!

Well I got a doe last weekend........just not with a bow or gun
Got her with a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup, she jumped in front of me lost her footing and I clobbered her on the left side. She ended up in a ditch, and after a call to 911 to get a county sheriff out into the back of said truck. Field dressed her the next morning and took her to the processor she weighed in at 120lbs.
Had venison steak Tuesday evening, and venison tacos last night...yum yum
Processor said one front and rear leg quarter were to damaged to use, go figure, I'm sure there was since I was doing 45-50 when I hit her.
Insurance is taking care of it after my 500 deductible.
Body shop estimated the damage to be $2200 so far. We couldn't open the hood so who knows what they'll find under the hood when they do.

That stinks Dman, and for more bad news, I forgot to have my bow in the picture with me, but I shot a doe. I also couldn't remember our team number! It was at 42 yards, great day of hunting!

slow start to season here, stuck a coyote yesterday morning and a doe a few weeks ago. only have seen 4 bucks so far, the biggest was only a 1.5 yr old. I did find a super looking spot yesterday, a ridge comes up out of a draw and it has over 30 scrapes in a 100 yard stretch, looks awesome, stuck a camera there to see whats roaming there
