On the evening of October 18th. I shot this doe here in Tuscarawas county, Ohio. Here are a couple pictures. What is going on with everyone else. Anyone seeing any rutting activity yet. I will try and get out Thursday evening, Friday and Saturday, Monday evening. Then my vacation starts and I will be off from the 25th of October to the 14th of November. Good luck to all.

Great doe Shawn! I only get to hunt on the weekends but it has been nasty here all week with rain and highs in the 40's. The forecast for this weekend is supposed to be sunny and 60 as the high so I am hoping this cold spell will have snapped them into action alittle.
I think the first weekend of November I will be going down to where I shotgun hunt to do alittle bow hunting and hang stands for the up coming shotgun season here in IL.

Has Sean turned in his score yet?

I think if everyone can nail a nice buck between 110"-150" this contest is ours for the taking. We are off to a good start and prime time is yet to come. I know this weekend here in Ohio looks very promising. Just had some heavy rains and windy conditions which will be ending Friday afternoon. Temperatures are dropping and the pre-rut should be just about in full swing. Good luck to all!!!!!

Congrats on another deer Shawn, you are a machine!

I'm still hunting elk for the next two weekends. I actually have 22 people coming to Colorado for our second rilfe season, all staying and hunting with me. We have a total of six bull tags, six cow tags, and six buck tags. I am anticipating about a 50-60% success rate. There will be some observers in the mix.

I'll be back in the deer woods by the first weekend in November. So, for now, I will have to live deer hunting through you fellas. Keep the stories and details coming. I absolutely love reading everyone's hunts, whether they're a success or not.

If you cannot shoot them with a bow, use a camera. Information gained can be put to good use down the road.

Good hunting everyone!
