Thats the camo. The brow does curl forward a little. I just finished skinning out the head for a euro mount and he has a lump right by the pedicle on that side. I think that is why his right side is smaller than his left. Maybe an old war injury I guess!!

Brent - I think they must dig foxholes.

My (most recent) dumb move: I blew a chance at a nice shooter buck last week. He saw me pick my bow off my holder when I thought I was still hidden from his view; he was 45 yds out and headed towards me. The hard part is that I could have easily waited for a sure opportunity before picking up the bow. Oh well, not the first time that's happened, and probably not the last...

Here is a short clip of a buck (9ptr) that was harassing does in one of my fields last week while I was hunting elsewhere (that's my ladder stand on the distant backwood edge to the right of the buck):

At least he's still around brent! I'm trying to still get out. I was going to go out this weekend but we ended up getting 8 inches of snow yesterday and I have to move it for my work. Plus right now the thermometer says 1 degree outside. So I have to go move some more here soon so maybe I'll take a day or 2 off since I didn't have my weekend!

I went out yesterday and didn't see a thing. Trail cams aren't showing much either but there are alot of tracks in the snow. I have til Dec. 31st but the way things are going, I'm about ready to throw in the towel. Great pics year, but the hunting has just been awful. I need a different strategy for next year!!
