Hey guys I hunted pretty hard last weekend in Ohio. I had an encounter with an old buck, not sure if I’d call it a good encounter but it was close. More info to come…….

I agree, Mottz....If he can't give us the story, it may be that the ending is still undetermined....I think he must be looking for one....

RL - good luck at Camp Ripley! I've read about the nice bucks from there.

Robow - details? Not good if we haven't heard by now guys.

Mature bucks are moving more, a friend got a very nice one last Saturday that was harassing does and another buck, 154" 9 ptr. Sorry, no pic.

i like the sound of that robow. we need a preview though!

fshafly - there are some bruisers there. every year most hunters have at least one run in with a nice buck. i got one decent 8 point out of there a few years back. it's pretty crazy though 2500 hunters over 50,000 acres (not all accessible though). largest organized deer hunt in the country!

my next 9 days are going to be crazy!!!! 2 days at ripley, halloween w/ the familty, then 3 days in wisconsin, then 1 day w/ the family, then 2 days rifle hunting w/ my daughter.

Got out all last week. Very hot weather (90's) until Thursday. The rain came in and the deer started movin. I saw 24 deer within 40 yards and 9 differant bucks but I just didn't see a shooter. I'll give it another go in a few weeks. By then the rut ought to be heating up.

Robow is it Monday yet!!!
