Well guys, my power was finally restored on Friday evening at 5:00 PM. 6 days without power. I was on the road to Ohio by 5:50PM
My trip paid off this time. I shot this guy Saturday morning and ended up seeing a 170" 10 point at 28 yards Saturday evening. Couldn't have had a better day.

Well I was out many times over my 5 day weekend and to say the least I was a little dissapointed. I saw one legal buck. He was 7 points and might have scored 90". I could have taken him many times but was not close to what I was looking for. He was young and in years past I see shooters several times a year 125" or better. I had about 17 different sits in one stand or another this year. Just did not happen for me. The season is still a long way from over but saturday is our rifle opener so I will be gun hunting for a few weeks. I will have to see when I get the bow out again. I wish I was more help but so far this year it has been a bust. However I was hunting so I still enjoyed myself.

Beautiful buck Dmax! Way to go. You deserved a good hunting trip after having to wait 6 days in the dark when you supposed to be hunting. Congratulations.

Thanks Guys, I'm very happy with him even though I seen one bigger later that evening.
Hopefully my Dad can get him on our next trip.

Awesome buck Scott! Well guys I have the Ml'er out this whole week. I shot a nice 8 point on Sunday morning, but never found him. I actually endded up bumping him out of a bed right on the bank of a river. He just stood 15 yards away looking at me. I had to shots I could yake, one was thru thre guts, or a small opening for the neck. I opted for the neck, but I dont think I connected. He ended up running along the ricer bank, and about 5 minutes later I heard 1 shot on the other side of the river. I talked to the landowner over there, and he claims there wasnt anyone over there that morning. I looked for 5 hours total, and never found a drop of blood after I bumped him out of that bed.

After this Sunday, I will have the bow out again, until the Saturday after Thanksgiving, then I will finish out the year with the Ml'er again for 3 weeks. Sure glad I have some awesome teamates to cover my but.

Great buck dmax! Ive been out looking to fill my other buck tag but havnt quite found the deer to fill it yet. Ive seen a couple nice bucks that would be great in a year or two but nothing special. I did find this buck dead along the edge of one of the woods I hunt. I sure wish i could have put my tag on him.
