It is just too hot to hunt here right now. High 70's and winds up to 30 mph. I figure that I should just wait to spend an extra morning or so in the woods when the weather is a little more ideal.

Went out this morning. But not for deer... Decided to switch it up a bit and hunt our newly chopped cornfield for geese and ended up getting our bag limit of two each after the first flock lol. To say the least it was a quick morning

Was going to go out this morning, but something came up, so I will be heading out this afternoon. I will be checking my cams too, so hopefully I will have some pics to post.

BigDaddy that is a stud of a buck. I sure hope you get a chance at him.

I just back from Ohio. It got up to 80 degrees everyday. With the Full moon approaching and the heat, the deer just weren't moving. I did have a 2-1/2 year old 8 point come in on two different occasions. He needs at least another year, maybe two. Seen a couple of 1-1/2 year old bucks. Headed back out in 2 weeks. Temps should be a lot cooler then.

Went to my usual spot again on Saturday and saw nothing. Went and scouted a new area and liked what I found.....
