Well guys, ive been hunting since friday night and seen one tom. Shot him this morning and knocked him down and he got up and took off. Tough things! well gonna go out tonight and try to get one before season is over.

Had 2 nice birds in my father's yard again over weekend twice..
both nice long beards... 8 or 9" beards... 1" or so spurs... they have 2 weeks to stick around... then they are both dead!

I'm getting antsy here. I've got about 2.5 weeks to go before my season starts. I know one of the properties I hunt on is holding birds now, I'm hoping they stick around. I'm planning to go check out another property and get my permission slip signed sometime this week.
