took out one of my buddies little brother this morning and had one at 20 yards but as soon as the bird topped the little rise that we were behind the little mans gun slipped off his knee and spooked him but it was a good morning we got set up between the gobbler and the hen and after flydown he was there within 5 minutes were gonna head back out in the morning with a blind and see how it goes..2 weeks left here..good hunting everyone

Season starts this Saturday. Trying to decide where I want to set up. I can go behind my place, another private farm behind where I work, or on a bench on public land where this one tom has gotten the best of me 3 years running. All are good spots and likely to have birds. Weather is supposed to be warm all week.

Didn't hear or see a thing opening day. Only heard two shots all day too. A cold front came through Thursday and I think that shut the birds down. Other hunters I talked to said the same. I'm going to try to get some hunts in this week before work if I can get the time.

Can't buy a gobble. Weather has them all clammed up.

Had 20 hens inside 10 yards during the Junior season, and the 2 jakes with them skirted around just out of range of my son's 20 gauge. I got some of the hens on video

Just waiting for the weather to break, then we should start getting some action

Best of Luck,
Jeff
