Ok I looked at the scores .25 is 2.5 and I almost forgot it was a Eastern and I took him with a Rossi 20ga youth gun. For such a little gun it sure is a show stopper.

Yeah, you multiply the spur length times 10, double the beard and add that to the weight.

Hey guys, looks like you have been having some great hunts. Congrats on all the success!

I am back from a trip and hope to get my first turkey hunt in this weekend. This is the bow hunt I had mentioned in western Mass.

I have a mouth call and a slate call now and a push box one (the one handed call). I can make some noise on the slate but am having trouble with the mouth call. What are a few easy calls that I could use to bag a bird? I don't want 20 calls that sound terrible. Are there 3 or 4 calls I can make on a slate that will work? When should I use them? Thanks.

The following weekend I will be on a gun hunt up in Maine.

I hope I can add some points over the next few weeks.

Hope you get one Gunn! I suppose I am going to head out this afternoon and try to ambush on on the way to roost.

Hey Guys sorry I havent been on here much going through a messy divorce but I am sure here to help as best I can.
Went out this weekend got my bird at 7:15 in the morning beautiful morning great for turkey hunting. While taking pics of my bird we spoted two toms out about halfmile across the feild went and called for my little cousin and he got his first tom ever. Then took out my friend this morning and got him his first ever turkey a real nice tom
Mine: 25lbs 11.5in beard and 1.125 spurs
cousin: 20lbs 10.5in beard and 1.125 spurs
friend:23lbs 12.75in beard and 1.125 spur one was busted off
Great two days of hunting here in MN going to WI nest week and hoping to bag some more there i have 2 tags then gonna come back and take my dad on his first ever hunt of anykind for turkeys last season here in MN
Good luck guys and thanks for your patience with me being missing.
25 + 11.25 + 11.25 + 23 = 70.5
