Hey guys! Sorry I havent been around alot... Got hired in a new position at work and spending lots of time training... The best part is my supervisor is a hunting and trapping machine! so he and I will work out schedules so we can hunt,fish, and trap as much as we can... We have 5 days until opening season and can not wait for it to get here... I got 2 toms strutting around

Dr.andy good luck in wis. How long do you have left at home?

kpatte, where do you live that your opener is that late? Good luck when it starts.

My IL season is done. They break it up into 5-5day seasons. Hunting until 1pm. I've got 5 days in WI on 3 separate private properties and you can hunt all day until dark. Figure out the roost sites and ambush em in the evening if need be!

Well team i hope the rest of you have better luck than i did season ends tomarow and i have work from 6 am till 7 pm...missed the only turk i had in range with the bow and thats gona replay in my head for a long time.
Was a great season called in 27 birds this season only 1 tom in range so i figure great second season.
will be here till the end sharing our victory with all of my team mates...

Mud, thats a bummer that your done.

I still have two weeks to hunt. I have not hunted all week so that I could try and fill both of my tags in one day, sat. Two birds in two states in one day, thats my plan for sat. I'm going for the missouri bird in the morning and and the Iowa bird after that. You can only hunt in mo. till 1:00 pm and Iowa all day so maybe I can pull it off. I think it will be neat to do this.

The birds are really going crazy around here and the mushrooms are popping like crazy, could be a really awesome weekend.

Today was opening day here in N.Y. Had 2 talking and come to find out they were with hens. Hopefully tommarow will be better.

Default Tagged out !

Well guys I did it two birds two states one day. All tagged out today 7 longbeards in 18 hrs of hunting for the spring. It has been a awesome spring for me.
Shot my 2nd mo. bird this morning.
19 lbs
12" beard = 24
1" spur = 10
1" spur = 10
Total= 63

Came back to Iowa and met up with a buddy and his 10 year old daughter this afternoon and we doubled on a couple of 2yr olds.

Iowa bird
24lbs
10" beard =20
7/8" spur = 8.750
3/4" spur = 7.500
Total = 60.25

7 on the board for us guys now its up to the rest of you to put us over the top and win this . Good luck
