A Maine bird and my first spring bird ever.. It felt great even though it was cold and windy today. It took him an hour to come into shooting range.. 20.5 lbs.

Here's my Osceola I shot on a ranch in Sarasota. 9 & 1/2" beard & 3/4" spurs. Nothing for the record books, but it's my biggest so far...

hahahaha it ws a rough few days for the deek. We will get him all fixed up before next year. I had to pull him out so he could help me kill that tom. He did a fine job, plus the wizards calling and help from gimpy. I have watched the Tom I killed in a large unplowed cornfield for many days. I was at one end of the field and he was at the other with my old pal crooked beard in between us all the time. I know crooked beard is unhuntable so I focused on the tom I killed and patterened him quite well. Anyway the end result is a very nice Indiana bird.
