Heard 2 gobblers this morning. Then saw them ( 2 toms, jake, hens) about 100 yrds away through the trees moving along the river. (my property is along a river) Will set up near the river next time and see how that goes

Were you able to harvest one bornagain? I know you had a few close encounters. I am about to head out and see if I can even see a turkey or hear one.

No luck for me opening day.I think the storms had something to do with it. I went out and sat in the rain for about 45 min. Got soaked then went back to sit in my truck for an hour. When the rain stopped I went back to my spot. 30 min later I had a hen come out where I had been seeing a nice tom. The hen was there for over an hour but I never saw the tom. The set up was great though! I cant wait to get back.

I think Im gonna skip out on a good chance at a bird and try ti fill my bonus tag on some state ground this weekend. I have 3 days at a chance to get two birds this year so im gonna take advantage of it.

yup. be careful where you shot your shotgun. They'll rape you for just about anything here in PA.
