Went out agian today, and this time I took my daughter.
Over the last 2 days we have had over 9" of rain and the woods look different and are under water.
No gobbling this morning, so we moved to another spot. She took a nap and a couple of gobblers tried to sneak in, I think it was 2 jakes.
I woke her up and told her to stay still and quiet, she is 13 years old so you know how that went. They moved off and we could not call them back in.
Going out again tommorrow, to give it another try.

John

Went out again this morning and did not hear a single gobble for the second morning in a row. I would think that they would be gobbling this time of year. Hope its not a sign of things to come. I am finding sign were it looks like turkeys are scratching in the leaves and I have seen a few tracks. Still h waiting for that first gobble

You know...we aren't doing too bad considering half our team isn't even out hunting yet! haha

Anyways, I am thinking about getting new mouth calls. What would you guys suggest me trying?
Someone told me Knight an Hale. Has anyone tried these? Do you like them? If so which ones did you try?
