Hey team, Got #3 at 7:05 this morning!! Got the pics sent to Arrow so he can post them. He had a 9" beard, a 3/4 and a 11/16" spur, and weighed 17 3/4lbs.

Got on a bird in the same place again! He gobbled once real early and that was it. I didn't call, was going to let him do his thing when a bird about 400yds behind me got to hammerin! Well theres only so much of that you can sit and listen to, so I split the distance and called.... nothing! I walked about 50 more yards and sat down. I yelped softly a couple more times and put my call down, didn't know if I was even in the game yet, and man I could hear him drummin!! The woods were a little thick and he had walked through about 4 ditches of water to get to me, and when I saw him he was blowed up at about 30yds! Well a couple more steps to clear a tree and the game was over!!! BOOM!!!!

Good job EFH, how many birds are you allowed to harvest where you hunt? Must be nice to be able to harvest multiple birds, here where I'm at we are only allowed one bird.

:cry:Not many birds around like there use to be about 5yrs ago. Here in MI it has always been 1 bird per hunter. Some areas have the spring hunt and a fall hunt. The fall hunt isnt where I'm at think maybe once but I am bowhunting for deer then and thats all I have on my mind then. Fall is "DEER" season to me. Hope you can continue your success at filling your limit. YA! I know I got to get a "nice one" for the contest here so I don't feel like a let down for the team. HAHA!! Any ways I'll try my best the one farmer who will let me hunt told me there is a couple real nice one's around. BEARD DRAGGERS!!:woot:
