My season opens tomorrow. Looks like I'm going to have a little competition. The people that killed the bird last weekend were out there this morning owl hooting. I guess they want the other bird that's been gobbling on my property. I heard another person hooting across the powerline on a small lease. One bird was gobbling in the middle of my property this morning, so hopefully he'll be back in the morning. I never saw him, but I did see three jakes. Good luck everyone.

good luck superstrutter! hopefully you can get us on the board. Still got my birds roosting behind my house and coming by every morning strutting and gobbling... every day makes me wanna hunt more and more

well hope you had a good morning superstrutter and anyone else who was able to hunt today. IF today were my opener I would of had a great morning, but still had some excitement. Heard the birds on roost last night so I figured I would get up and go on the deck in the morning to try to get some pictures with my digital camera, well they started gobbling off roost and shortly after headed my way following the hens. Got a good show put on for me, and got some great pics and an awesome video! Enjoy guys, this certainly gets my heart pumpin! just turn your sound up and click on the link to play the video

Guys, I scored one for the team this morning on the opener. Not the biggest bird, but he'll do. He weighed 17.4 pounds, had a 10 inch beard, and matching 3/4" spurs. His score is 52.25. At least we're on the board. I plan on upgrading. You can read the story on the bragging post when I put it up. Jason, those are some awesome pictures. I know you are itching to get out there. Your day is coming.
