Team 6 - Weclome to your team thread! As we have more people sign up (in the alternate sign up thread) we will add more people to the teams.

Everyone needs to check in on this team (by posting here, on this team thread, so we know you're still in the contest).

First order of business is to pick a team captain. Each person should nominate a teammate that you think would be a good leader. Team Captain will score each turkey killed (NWTF Score) and post each hunter's bird (with pictures) in the results thread.

I am here! Ready to win this bad boy! I will be hunting KS, IN and KY this year.

Checking in. Will hunt in Ks, and hopefully NE. KS season starts April 1st. Don't know much about posting pictures on forum so would preferr not to be a captain, but would if no one else wants to.

Where in Kansas do you normally hunt?

If you are aksing me, it is my first trip to KS. I will be near El Dorado.

Checking in. I'm not the one turkey hunting. Your team member is my son fieldmousejr. Please make the correction. I just checked today and he got picked for both youth hunts the first 2 weekends in April. He will be going out with our neighbor. I'm taking his friend out with me. Good luck team. I live about 2 1/2 hours north of El Dorado. If it is like north Central Kansas you won't have a hard time getting on birds.

BTW I can also help the captain or be one if you all need be, unless there is someone who wants to do it. You do you can have it, just offering.

Great news! I have a "guide" out there. He has a small bow shop in El Dorado and is helping put us on birds.

DTO if we can we aught to meet up for coffee or something when I get out there if it can work out.

Season is from April 9th to May 7th.

Kurt (stags) showed me a picture of one yeterday (via email) that his brother killed with his Subaru - It looks like a Merriam! Big ol' birds there... Thinking I need to make a trip there too! Also showed me a picture of 3 young boys who killed 12 gobblers in ONE HOUR... What's going on in New Zealand with those dang birds??? Haha

Phil from Maine checking in. Our season up here starts in May and I have the first full week off this year. Should be interesting as I will be hunting some old cornfields and there should be plenty of birds the way our weather is running this year..

Waiting for 3 people to check in. Then we can get a captain and team name selected.

Hunting around the corner from you. Walked 4.5 miles on Sunday and not a single bird or tracks. It was very warm. Similar to last year's opening morning. No birds. It's still early, lots of scouting to be done. My neighbor, who will be taking jr out did find a few birds in his area. No worries here.

No problem with the team name and logo.. I wish the other ones would check in..

Name works for me and I agree I wish those late ones would check in too; but we do need to fill the teams out.

As far as captains jrbsr looks like he knows what he is doing. I'd help if needed.

Like the banner. I would like to know how to put the banner in at the bottom of posts. I an help?

Just hight light the picture, the right click copy.
Left click, and put the arrow over the picture, and it will high light it.
Then go to edit signature, and click in the box, then control v, then save.
And it will be there.

great name and banner ! i tried to add the banner in my signature but my profile won't let me edit the signature.the other options work but there is no button[looks like a pencil ?] next to the signature. oh well. jrbsr has my vote for captain if he's willing.

Indiana season doesn't start until April 27. birds are already gobbling and harassing the girls. it's been warm here and they are getting ready. gonna be tough to hunt by the time season starts. or maybe it will be better. i envy you guys that have an early season.remember to stay safe out there !!!
