Congrats to those of you that have scored. I got a bearded hen for a client yesterday, with a thick 8 1/2" beard. Biggest beard on a hen I have seen. It should be my turn soon. :P

well I was out this past Friday morning in PA and called in a Jake. I had him at 40 yds but decided against shooting him. I guess I'm getting soft in my old age. Sorry guys I know we could have used the bird to help the team out but I was looking to shoot longbeards only.

Well,
After missing bird with bow...
Shooting bird with bow but not recovering : /
I finally had a Jake commit suicide in front of me so I'm scoring him...

It's been one Jake filled, frusturating season here in Kansas...

Gun870guy....... Congrats on your bird the team sure needs some birds.

I didn't get out nearly enough as I would have liked to due to knee replacement in Jan.

Sorry guys, Due to disc problems in my back I didn't get out to hunt early. Then when it got well enough for me to hunt, I was guiding instead of hunting. (work 1st) So this season has ended without a bird under my belt. 1st one in a long time I didn't get a bird. My Congrats to those of you that did score or tried. A job well done to you all. Next Year....lol!!
