Well that was like the 2 worst days of turkey hunting have ever had. Sat was windy, rainy and then snowy, Sun was just plain windy. We heard some birds on Sat till the rain started, Sun we heard 1 bird all day. The weather forecast for this week isn't much better, but we will be out on Thursday....

I haven't had much luck myself. Been all over birds, but they aren't wanting to come to calling much. Should have had one last Monday but he wouldn't cross a small creek or come across a steep hill. We were on the same side of the creek as he was but the steep hill that ran right to edge of the creek stopped him at about 70 yards.

Well... our trip to South Dakota got cancelled due to the weather... UPSET isn't even the WORD for it!!! I could care less about the couple hundred $ in tags that went to waste - I was so pumped and ready to go. They've had like 14 inches of snow in the last week. The place we hunt is a wagon trail and a NO-GO if there's any type of rain/snow. BLAH!!!
Our season opens Wednesday here (4/27) so you can bet I'll be out in full-force!!! Good luck Ken - keep us posted.

stay of execution at the state prison farm
Hunted the state Prison this morning, had 3 gobbleing off the roost but no joy. would of did the run and gun but had another hunter in that direction and didnnt want to ***** his hunt. Will keep trying, still have 3 tags.

That was a cool looking bird!!!
I got another one in an afternoon hunt. Young bird. He took two hours to come 100 yards. I shot at about 30 yards, the head got messed up in the second shot because he jumped up to run and I was real close. I'll stay with them till the end on the 30th. Stats to come...
