Alabama Rut
 

Has anyone seen much rut activity in alabama its been a little slow around talladega county.

The rut in alabama is crazy. It seems to hit at slightly different tmes every year. In Selma they are just starting to rut. I killed a 9 point 3 days ago and his neck was Big and he was checking the field for doe's. Other than that though i have seen scrapes and rubs but no chasing....

In south Bama I have seen just a few rubs and a couple of scrapes. They should kick in the rut over the next week or so. The taxidermist and proscessors I have talked to have not seen any good bucks yet.

I m from mississippi and I will be coming to alabama on january 24th through
27th for a 4 day hunt. I have always heard that the alabama rut was around the
middle to the end of january. Do yall think I have picked a good time to try a alabama
hunt. I will be hunting Troy alabama
