S.E Ok. Clayton to be exact. Ever heard of Sardis lake? I saw2 bucks a couple days ago that would go over 160"!! Too bad I was on the highway by private property where I can't hunt. I am hearing rumors of people seeing bucks chasing a little. Hope they hold off a couple more weeks.

My ex brother-in-law was the ag teacher at clayton several years ago. I actually hunt just north of there around kenta. But my family does a lot of fishing on sardis. So I am a little familiar with the land. Good luck to you.

His name is Clark Long. He is from Idabel. In fact he went back to Idabel when he left Clayton. That has been about 9 years ago since he was there.

Not a whole lot in my area. My son has soccer this weekend so I am staying home for that. It will be a couple of weeks before I can get back in the woods. If things go as planned, I might be there next weekend after soccer. But that is a big if.

I'm headed to KY. to on the 25th. I'll have 3 days there and then it's over to Ga. to hunt for 3-4 wks. The best 2-3 wks. of the year aren't too far off. Man, I'm getting pumped.

Classic mistake!! Saturday evening I saw a 120" 8 point strolling through a bottom vacuuming up acorns at about 100 yards out. Next afternoon I moved my stand closer to a heavily used crossing in range of where he had been. Sunday evening I see him again and you guessed it he was under the tree I was in Saturday at about 70 yards. My 7 year old daughter gets to hunt with a rifle this weekend and she is claiming him as hers so we will have to see what happens.
