did anyone get out this weekend?

Got within about 40 yards of the big 10 I posted pics of and got busted by a doe. Rifle season opens this weekend so his days are numbered. There is a big double drop tine buck that has been seen a few times within 1/2 mile of my stand but no pics of him. I hope I get lucky and score on a big one cause my brother has offered to pick up the taxidermy bill if I do.

Just a few more days and I'll be home and in the tree!!

I'm still after em here in Ga. I know I've passed on at least 10 different 2.5 yr. olds. I've had the trailcams going for 2 solid wks. now and "not one shooter". Kind of frustrating. I decided to take a short break this wk. and we headed for the mtns. of N. Ga. and a friend's cabin. I earning pts. towards a return trip to KY. which I hope happens around the beginning of Dec. I'll be back after em on Sat. Good luck to everybody still chasing em.

Hunted this weekend, was just getting ready to stick a doe when she busted me. Have not seen many bucks, the ones I have seen I continue to pass on. The corn is still up on the North end of the hardwood I hunt, lots of sign there and I've sat over it a few times but nothing.

I'm afraid until they get the corn down, my honey hole is nothing more than a mud pit at the moment. Gun season opens this weekend but I will be out with the bow.

I'll be out in 5 days if all goes well. Problem is, all my new arrow building supplies arrive in 6 days...lol. Hopefully I can get by with my old arrows til I can get the new batch made up. I love making custom arrows. Anyone else have some customs they wanna post up?? I'll have to get a pic of mine when I'm done and stick it on here for all to see. Here's an old picture, but they'll be pretty much the same thing...

Well been after it pretty hard lately and nothing showed up. But will be back out in a couple of days. By the way pheasant, if looks could kill, you wouldn't even have to draw your bow. Just hold up the quiver and they should fall over. lol. They look awesome man.

Well, I finally got out to hunt the last 2 nights. No luck, but have seen a lot of deer. Hopefully something goes down soon. I'll be headed back to school on Sunday, then be back in a couple weeks for Christmas Break, and hit it hard again. Our season goes til the end of the year

Still chasin' em here in Ga. 7 days- not one deer seen!! Kinda slow- lol. I might be headed back to Ky. on Tue. Got my fingers crossed that it happens.

Well I got to go a couple of days of the holiday weekend. On saturday night I shot a nice ten point, Ill try to get pics on here, but it was with my rifle. I am going back thursday to hunt for the rest of the weekend.
