I was able to get out Sat. evening and did see a big doe and a fawn, unfortunately for me big mama seen me first and did'nt stick around. Tried it Sunday morning but didn't see anything. Tonight while shining I seen my dream buck in a field that I have permission to hunt. I would love to get a crack at him. I'd be even more happy if my 10 year old daughter were to harvest him come Oct. 9 or 10.

Sorry to hear that man, you must have some thieven son's of bitches in Illinois. If I ever caught anyone taking my trailcams, I don't know if anyone would find the body . It's almost worth buying an extra one and hiding it really well near the other ones to catch the bastards!

Opening AM I worked 4 AM - 12 so I went out for a afternoon hunt

This evening I had a yearling feeding under my stand
And I mean under , as I was dropping acorns on it

Other than Ma ma doe that fed past me just past my comfort range , no deer

But I had 2 people walk about 100 yds away on the public property next to where I was hunting
Ohhh ing and Awww ing about the yearling
I was almost thinking about sticking it to shut them up
As I can take 10 deer total ( 1 buck total state wide ) in that county

But they walked away and the yearling stayed

On the way out , I saw a decent 8 point feeding just off the road
250 yds from my stand
But after shooting time

God I love hunting deer next to a Metro park

Hot here. Finally cooled off this morning but can not hunt today. Going to check the camera's today. I got a buck I want to see if I have any better pictures of, trying to decide if he is a shooter or not. Here he is.

Would like to see him live to make a determination if he is a shooter. Will prob. have to make a quick decision if he walks by)))

Dave
