Went out this past Saturday and had a bunch of turkeys sneak in to me and I young spike came to about 5 yards of my stand. It should be heating up here in VA in the next couple of weeks so hopefully some bone will come my way!

Well, had a lousy trip in Wisconsin. The deer just were'nt moving AT ALL in daylight hours.
Rubs and scrapes were popping up while I was there, only all at night.
Too early I guess and the full moon did'nt help.
Found some great spots to hunt though, tons of sign.
That magical time is almost here and I'm looking forward to being in the Illinois woods very soon.
Good Luck All !

Oh boy, not sure what's going on the crops are off and I'm not seeing any deer movement at all. It has been warm and windy so I hope that has something to do with it, but it's still strange that their not coming into the fields to feed or traveling to a water source. I'm seeing a lot of new rubs in the area so I do have some hope, but not seeing the does and fawns has me worried. Good luck !

Took 3 days off and had a few close encounters but only managed a doe. Didn't get one with my bow last year so I was happy to get the monkey off my back.

Looks like we are all having the same luck. I got out this morning and called in a nice buck . He came in to 25 yards and stopped right behind a tree , stood there for 5 min turned and left the same way he came. I don't know how they do that two more steps and he would have been in trouble!!

Well my early bow season has come and gone. It's been my most disappointing season to date. I'm not sure what to think, just didn't see anything that was even a year away. Hopefully I can get out during late season and stick one.
