I had a giant 6x6 come by me this evening. I had him at 27 yards but it was too dark for a shot. I was in a box blind and I couldn't pick out my pins anymore. He end up locking horns with the 5x4 that is low 160s, and he pummeled that deer. So no luck for me yet....
I'm heading out west to do a mule deer hunt this weekend, so I won't be back on till Sunday or Monday.

Alright fellows leaving this week for my Indiana trip. will be bow hunting even though gun season just opened. This is proably my last chance to get one for the team. Haven't had the greatest season except for Wyoming trip. Good luck to everyone else. Jerry

I'm home from my western mule deer hunt. Got lucky and found a pretty good buck while walking back to the truck to head 'er home this morning. I'll post up some pics of him once I get my pics uploaded to my computer. Only problem is, I shot him with rifle so no dice for the bowhunting contest yet.......

I'm heading off to Western NY this afternoon to hunt for the rest of the week... This will probably be my last chance at a good buck this season.. I have shot a couple of nice one's here in the past.

I got out on Saturday and seen about 85 - 100 deer but nothing with antlers. It was crazy how many fawns/does were running around all over the place. It snowed all day and was just a great day to be in the woods. My last chance will be this Friday and Saturday probably. Good luck everyone.
