Darin,

This first trip will be down in the Sierra Madres West of Encampment along the continental divide. I seen a pretty nice buck last year but I couldn't get a shot. The next trip will be near Buffalo in the Cloud Peak Wilderness of the Big Horn Mountains. This is the area we were scouting last weekend.

So if you and Rammer can pull those off a again you can make up for me as well.

This is the buck I took in NY last year with the bow... scored around 125".

Brother in law took a 158" typical 10 in OH where we will be hunting this year. Buddy we are hunting with took a 163" typical 11 there too.

I hunt by Buffalo for mulies and antelope as well! hahaha I just got my comfirmation that I drew my antelope tag last night in fact. I live in the Northeast part of South Dakota and thats where I do 90% of my hunting.

My plans this year are:

leave Sept 2 for Montana for archery elk hunt, if given opportunity maybe a deer.

End of Sept start archery hunting at home.

First part of October go antelope hunting.

First part November rifle deer West River hunt (Buffalo)

Later November rifle deer at home

That should be my schedule for the fall big game hunting, unless I draw another tag or 2....

Thanks Rammer... sounds like a busy schedule...

I will be hunting bear here in MA from Labor day to Sept 15...

Then I will be hunting deer in CT up until Oct 15

Will be hunting OH for deer from Oct 15-22nd or so.

Be back and hunting locally between MA, NY, & CT with bow until Nov 17.

Nov 17 off to Finger Lakes region of NY for archery deer.

When I come back we will be gun hunting NY & MA until year end.

This is the buck I shot in 2008 at the same place in NY w/ the Muzzleloader. Scored 139" as a 7 point

Looks like we will have a Heck of a team. Only 4 more to check in, sent PM's to them also.
The Big One I killed 2 years ago was a Dream Deer. Then got skunked last year, so hopefully I can connect this year. Will try my Hardest.

I have been watching a buck that is in the mid 170s this summer pretty regularly in one of my bean fields. He looks like he is a twin to the rifle buck I shot last year, only he is a touch wider, heavier, and even taller.

Here is my rifle deer from last year.

My favorite pic from last fall. Both of my deer at the taxidermist!

I also heard a rumor that there is a 200+ inch deer fairly close to my house, which I was blowing off as here-say till I heard the description of him. "Points sticking everywhere, by far the biggest deer I've seen anywhere" That fit the description of a buck that has eluded me for 2 years now, I've only seen him once. I set out some trail cameras last night in hopes to get a glimpse of him. The guy that told me about him has killed a few bucks in the 170s-180s, so he knows what it takes to get a deer of that caliber.

I can't imagine seeing, let alone shooting, a 170"+ deer, and esp. not a 200".
They just don't get that big around here...
I hope Ohio pays off on one... they have some pics of some real brutes on a couple of their farms.
By the way, name is Erik and I am 32 and in the financial services industry. live to hunt. Esp bow hunt for deer. Also hunt bear, turkey, pheasant. Shot my first moose a couple of years ago as well.
