Thansk Guys, taped him out last night 130 3/8's watching him this summer and from pics I was think he was in the 140's but with only a 12 1/8 spread and 33 3/3 beam total 130 and change isn't to shabby. The character and age class is the key for me, I try to mange the ground fro 4.5-5 year old or better regardless of score, we all like big booners but I like character too and we all know outsmarting a mature buck of his caliber and sending a shaft through him is no easy task. Good luck all!

Skipped work last Thursday to go hunting. With work travel and all, I haven't been able to get out much since season opened Oct. 1. I hunted from 2-7 pm from a tree I killed one of my archery bucks from last year. At 4:15 pm had a group of three does walk past headed for standing corn. A little too far out for my comfort zone, no shot taken even though I had a antlerless tag. At 5:15 pm, heard activity behind me as this guy freshened a scrape:

Didn't really have a shot and wasn't interested if I would have. It's very early in the season yet. Weather for the weekend calls for thunderstorms/rain, full moon, might just skip hunting until next weekend, partially to keep the stands "fresh".

It had been over a month since I pulled memory cards, so had tons of images when I pulled cards after hunting Thursday. I liked this one the best:

Way to go Canuck!...I love the palmation of that rack!

I've only been out once since I missed the big one opening day. I came down with a crazy staff infection in my leg that has me laid up.

Should be able to make it out this week sometime.

Let's put some more inches up Team 3!

I got a 6 pointer down guys! Sorry I haven't been interacting much, I have been so busy with school. He should be a nice 8 but he broke off both main beams. Oh well he still counts!!
