Me too..sucks.. i get a text at about 6:30, One of my buddies shot a 8 Point and is tracking it and then found it. Then i get another text from him at about 7:30 saying he say my buck that i have been after out in the been feild on his way out of the farm!!
SO i will be in the woods Monday..Calling for rain so we will have to see.

Kicked out a 150class ten pointer on the way in the evening of opening day.....saw 5bucks and 13 does in this field sunday night....but no shooters.

It's going to be a difficult weekend to be out with the temps in the upper 70's. If we weren't taking my buddys nefhew out for the youth hunt, I am sure I would be staying home. Going to make the best of it as this is Hunters first hunt. Even with the warm temps it could be a big weekend...

Four hunts since our season opened on Saturday.
Saturday a.m. I saw 9 total, three does at 60 yards, two does at 30, two does and two small bucks at 40 yards.
Saturday p.m. three does at 40 yards.
Tuesday p.m. two small bucks at 50 yards
Wednesday p.m. three does at 18 yards. I watched them for some time and was convinced nothing was following and dark was only ten minutes away so I shot one of them. First deer of the actual season, but I shot four with the bow prior to the archery opener on damage permits.
All of my hunts so far have been on different properties, I'm making an effort not to get too fixated on one property this season. Temps will be cool over night this weekend with day time highs in the high 60's/low 70's. I'll have two hunts Saturday and Monday since I'm off for columbus day. Good luck team.
