Congrats Tedrow! Way to get things started. I had a nice 10 pointer 5 steps away from adding to our total yesterday afternoon. I forgot my grunt, but I had my can with him. I got him close with the can, but he needed to take 5 more steps to get into my shooting lane at about 25 yards. He would have gone about 160+. I haven't seen much rut action lately. This guy was just roaming and eating. He wasn't chasing anything. My current workload is keeping me from taking any days off, but hopefully I can take one of these afternoons off to get back into the stand. I should be able to get out both Saturday and Sunday. Good luck guys! Shoot straight!

Thanks guys and good job to all. Big deer never showed while I had a bow in my hands although a few of his friends did. I just was able to pass on them this year hoping for a trophy buck. Try for him in the gun season. Bear starts on Sat. and I can't wait.

congrats buddy. glad you got one. I had a guy offer me a 8 point he shot, I did not get to his house before he had to live and he gave it to his neigbor. Not sure I would have took it. I would have had to tag it(techinqualy illegal in indiana) and thus lose my buck tag. Even if I could legally do it, not sure I would, I would hate to give up my buck tag on a deer SOMEONE else shot.

Went out today, saw alot of signs, scraps a small rub, alot of poo in the field, and in fact I sat against a big oak and looked down to find and bile of buck crap between my legs that looked less the 8 hours old.

Sorry I have not been on, I have been super busy with school and work, should change in a few weeks with school kicking out for a month and work slowing. Hoping to set up my pop up tomorrow and do a thursday muzzle loader hunt on a nice spot I have.

Hey guys good news. I GOT ONE, Only bad thing is it was not a archary buck but with my muzzleloader, the big plus is it is a doe and not a buck so I still have my buck tag.
250 yards and a prefect shot. COuld not be happy, this is my first and I can finally say I got one and look for a big buck now.

I also realized Nov 18th was the day I went on my first hunt 7 years ago in kentucky and wacked her 7 years later to the day

Check out my report and tell me what you think
