It looks like I will be getting out Wednesday evening and Thursday morning. It's been a few days so I'm anxious to get back out there. I'm hoping to at least put a doe down, but you never know when one on the hit list might just be passing by. Then my arrow will be passing through!!!!!

They are called Honey Mushrooms and grow on oak stumps that have been rotting for about 5-10 years. They appear in Wisconsin around the time of the first hard frost usually around the first weekend in October
It's been 5-6 years since we've had enough moisture in the fall and I've been looking forward to this season with all the rain we got in September. Nothing better with tenderloins than freshly sauted mushrooms.

Well guys, I got one down for the freezer. I will post up some pics of it either tonight or tomorrow. My grandson was very excited. I took a couple of pics with him and the deer. I can't wait until he actually he shoots his first one.

Well, I was out this morning and didn't see a thing. Still better than being at work! Tomorrow is a different day. I am looking forward to tomorrow morning. Last week I left the doe's go, but this week it is open season for them. Good luck to everyone this weekend!

I will be out Saturday evening I think, I got a pic of Brutus 5 minutes before legal shooting light ended 2 times this past week. So, who knows, Saturday evening may be the night.
