Guess I'll start it since no one else has yet.
After archery of course I'll be hunting shotgun season, which usually starts late November. I have not gotten a uck with shotgun in probably 5 years now....I'll manage to see one opening day and then that's it. So here's to hoping this year! But I usually manage to tag a doe!

Hey just checking in, sorry if I'm late. How's everyone pre-season scouting going?

Well I got a nice 7 pointer on my cam the other day...not huge by any means but nice for NY. When shotgun season rolls around, I'm planning on taking whatever walks by first I think! Haven't shot a buck the last 5 years or so because after the 1st day, they all seem to disappear. The last 2 years I passed a buck opening morning...and didn't get any more chances...so this year it stops,lol.

I forgot I even signed up for the rifle contest this year. I'm here to check in! Hopefully I'll be able to add some points, but after last year it might be a little tough!

Glad to have you aboard Rattlesnake - Those are two great bucks, hopefully you didn't use up all your good luck last year, haha

Nice deer there rattlesnake! And I thought big bucks were mythical woodland creatures... I've got two lil ones down already, one 4 point and 1 doe with my bow. Heading out again tomorrow afternoon to a different spot to see whats moving and if its in range, hopefully make it not move anymore :-)

Archery opens up next weekend...so I'll be hitting the woods with my bow but hope this year to break my buckless shotgun streak. I think the first buck I have in range with my shotgun gets tagged. After the opener...they all scatter and go nocturnal big time around here.
